360° support for the Slim Sonic brand
Slim Sonic invented portable ultrasonic slimming devices nearly 15 years ago. Recognising the need to modernise its image and website to better meet the needs of its customers, the brand called on O’Matic at the end of 2022.
Challenge: modernising an e-commerce website
Following a surge in sales during the COVID-19 period, a decline was felt. Slim Sonic therefore called on O’Matic to redefine its online presence and better adapt to its customers.
This collaboration, which spanned three years, enabled us to support the brand in terms of strategy, graphics and technology. We worked on various pillars to achieve this modernisation:
- Identity redesign
- Redesign of the user experience on the website
- Redesign of the overall customer experience
- Strategic and bespoke support
Close collaboration with all teams to create a website tailored to its target audience
We worked closely with all teams (production, marketing, sales, etc.) to modernise the visual identity, improve the ergonomics and content of the site, and integrate their needs into the website, as well as those of their customers.
During our discussions, we identified a sticking point for Slim Sonic customers: they couldn’t picture themselves using the devices available for sale. So we revamped the entire strategy for the website and its content around the brand’s different target audiences: individuals, athletes and professionals.
We have also improved the reassurance aspect by highlighting articles in the press, testimonials and the large network of companies using Slim Sonic devices thanks to an internal WordPress store locator.

Creating an easy-to-edit website
To ensure autonomous and flexible management, we built the site on an ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) basis. This allows editing to be limited to designated areas, respecting the predefined structure, while offering quick and efficient implementation. Subsequently, the teams easily took ownership of the site management and the various content.
We have also improved our natural search engine optimisation to target individuals and professionals who want to combine fitness and technology.
Results of the redesign
As soon as the site went live, the feedback was glowing: ‘easier to navigate’, ‘clearer information’, ‘pleasant site’…
The figures revealed a 15% increase in visits and a rise in the conversion rate from an average of 2.5% to nearly 5% after a few weeks.

A brighter, more modern identity to showcase products
When redesigning the identity, we decided to abandon the combination of black and ‘old gold’ colours in favour of a more striking combination of white, black and orange-gold.
Once the colours had been defined, we reworked the entire style guide and created a system of icons to illustrate the content on the website.
Adding animations to accompany the message
To help customers discover the technology behind Slim Sonic, we worked on an explanatory video that brings together everything they need to know about the brand in one place.
A Lottie animation was developed for the 404 page, followed by other videos for communication and social media purposes.
